In a period that saw it pick up the gong for Best Small SEO Agency at the UK Search Awards in November 2021, Brighton SEO agency SEOMG! has once been nominated for Best Small SEO Agency. Only this time, it’s in the Global Search Awards, and the company is up for Best Global Small SEO Agency. It’s quite the achievement for an organisation formed by two former colleagues in the middle of a pandemic, a company that has in the space of two years grown into an 11-strong team with a dazzling array of national and international clients. But how did they get here? And what’s the story behind this latest award shortlist nomination?

Founded by Luke Smith and Dan Adam back in 2020 (of all years), SEOMG!’s first two years have been a baptism of fire, to say the least. Despite the challenges posed, the reputation of SEOMG!’s work led to rapid revenue growth, hitting a consistent £20k per month by December 2020, mostly through retainer work. At this point, SEOMG! was just Dan and Luke, but they were now ready to start hiring. With a strong work-life balance being of the utmost importance, the duo agreed to offer all employees 4-day workweeks, with full-time salaries. This healthy environment not only led to 0% staff turnover, but also helped accelerate revenue growth, driven purely by word of mouth and existing client growth.

Since then, the Brighton-based agency has been fortunate enough to exceed all of its targets and expectations, including smashing a Q1 revenue target by 21%. However, the company’s proudest achievement is its training programme, which has allowed it to bring new talent into the industry. By learning from the senior team’s wealth of experience, the fresh recruits have been able to fast track their new careers at a difficult time.

Now a team of 11, consisting of five highly-experienced consultants (all with 10+ years’ worth of experience), one project manager, and five junior analysts, SEOMG! has quickly grown into one of the UK’s most exciting SEO agencies.

Says co-founder Dan Adam on being entered into and shortlisted for the Best Global Small SEO Agency: “We are over the moon to be in the running for this prestigious award. It is such great recognition of the incredible work by the most passionate, dedicated and versatile team that I have ever worked with.”

With a client roster boasting some of the world’s biggest and best known names in recruitment, luxury retail and software, not to mention a team that only gains more experience and knowhow every day, SEOMG! is destined to go from strength to strength over the coming years.
