To have a hook in the title, is a must these days. After that slowly build on that hook until people read the entire blog/post. At the end, drop the answer to the question in the hook. However, in this blog we are going a different route. You are curious how we got a small massage salon to the top of Google, even above major massage businesses in a top city? Easy answer, hard work and a genuine care for our clients.
Unnamed Project is a top Marketing Firm in Europe, founded in 2021 by Giomero Brand, that follows the philosophy of output over time. This means that at Unnamed Project we do not track time, we track results. This ensures that all our clients and projects succeed and that going the extra mile for a client is one of our core values.
Pursuing Goals, Not Graphs
At the start of this project, our client Justina communicated with us that she would love to have her own salon but she had the feeling it was only feasible for large businesses. So, we established one clear goal together. Helping her, a mobile massage therapist, build her own salon within three years. At Unnamed Project, we always focus on the personal and business goals of our clients first. We do this for a very logical reason: we are the marketing experts. We make sure that whatever you want to accomplish, we direct our marketing efforts to your ambitions. This means that talking about numbers and graphs in the first few meetings will not bring us anywhere, but clearly understanding what you want to accomplish can give us the freedom and guidelines to help you achieve that.
With Justina’s ambition to go from being a mobile massage therapist to a salon-owning massage therapist, we set up a plan of action. The first thing on our list was getting her new clients by having two main focus points. Making a new low budget website that allowed her to get clients to book online and creating a SEO strategy to boost that new website’s traffic.
We got started on the website and meanwhile we took SEO into account. How can we make a low-budget website with an easy booking system, while maintaining a good foundation for visibility? After two weeks we finished her website, yet that was not the most important part of this campaign. The time had come to choose the right keywords for this project, keywords with high volume that ensured high conversion.
Getting First Page with Keywords that Matter
When someone asks me what SEO entails, I always tell them the same simple explanation. It is the science of getting a website as high as possible on Google. This easy explanation is not all, because the real science and complexity that lay the groundwork of a good SEO strategy, is keyword research.
The first thing we did during keyword research was finding the best and most high value keywords we could get. In Justina’s case, it was “Massage Den Haag”. This keyword had a high volume and was perfectly targeted at people who wanted to look for a massage in the city The Hague.
As soon as we had the ideal high value keyword, we devised a strategy to make our client rank high for that keyword. We looked for keywords that were closely related and matched the user intent. We found secondary keywords, like “full body massage den haag”. The last step in our strategy was making sure her old website got refreshed because the website she previously had was not ready for the SEO boost.
Creating a Budget Friendly SEO Monster Website
Justina’s old website wasn’t unattractive, but to make a significant SEO impact, we switched to wix.com. This website builder allowed us to create a high-quality site with an easy backend, perfectly tailored for a client with limited digital experience. Normally, we would opt for Wix Studio, but due to budget constraints, we decided on the Wix Editor.
Once the website was delivered, we immediately got to work on educating Justina on how to get the most out of her site. A crucial change was switching from bookings via WhatsApp to online bookings through her website, increasing website visitors and engagement.
The website was an instrumental part of our SEO strategy, but our SEO expertise truly made the difference. One of Unnamed Project’s slogans is “We build more than just websites”, reflecting on our commitment to offering practical advice to boost SEO without additional costs.
SEO Advice that Made our Client be On Top
As a team of young, goal-oriented SEO experts, we guided Justina on improving her SEO in her field. A significant part of our strategy involved leveraging social media platforms to make Justina Massage’s online presence more visible. Our dual-focused approach used social media to generate quality backlinks and drive sustained traffic to her website. By engaging people on popular platforms and tailoring content to resonate with our intended target audience, we encouraged longer website visits. This strategy not only improved SEO through increased user engagement and reduced bounce rates, but also broadened our reach. We connected Justina’s services with a wider local audience interested in wellness and personal care.
We also created personalised messages for Justina to send to her clients to encourage them to leave Google reviews. These messages improved her client engagement and feedback. Addressing clients in a manner that reflected Justina’s communication on a personal level, quickly increased both the quantity and quality of her reviews. This strategic effort improved Justina’s Google profile, which in turn made her local SEO a success and helped build trust with potential clients.
Testimonial and Thank You
I want to give a big thank you to Justina for trusting us, as I took her on as our first SEO client at my business Unnamed Project. I also want to give a big thank you to the people who supported me along the way. Hereby, I end with Justina’s reaction to this award.
“Thank you, because of your team’s hard work and SEO boost, I can now open my own salon in Naaldwijk, you are the best and this was truly life-changing.”
